WHITNEY'S ENGAGED!!!!!

Yesterday, one of our favorite couples ever got engaged!!! Whitney Nicosia (check out her blog here) and I have been best friends ever since our Freshman year at OleMiss. No matter how many miles are between us, we have remained super close and she has always been someone I know will always be there for me.

I could not be happier for her and Joel, they truly are perfect for each other.

CONGRATULATIONS. Wishing you all the happiness in the world Whit and Joel. Love you both!

Shoes

Last week I bought not 1 but 2 pairs of heels!

These from Nine West because Chester ate my last pair...

These Torys bc Chris understands happy wife/happy life and he is so good to me

Now for those that know me, know that I normally always choose flats or sandals over heels and wedges. Well I feel its time for that to change. Therefore, I am training my feet to be able to walk better in these suckers. I noticed myself walking up to work with my new black heels on the other day and it was obvious i was out of practice. Luckily- i found these tips to help me out!  Lets face it, heels make everyone look a little better/slimmer  and I'm willing to take all the help I can get!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend

Spring is in the Air

Check out this forecast for the next few days !

I thought this would be a good time to clear up some misconceptions about the Seattle/Tacoma area. When I first heard we were moving here, I immediately thought of Sleepless in Seattle... you the part where Meg Ryan says it rains 9 months out of the year. Most people I talk to always make the assumption thats its always raining here!

Turns out, the rainiest City is the US is Mobile Al- Washington doesn't even make the list until #24 with Olympia according to livescience.com. The rainy days we experience here are more of a mist than a downpour, its the kind of rain you don't really need an umbrella to go out in! Sure there may be some cloudy days, but we don't go weeks without seeing the sun, heck we barely go a day or 2 without it peeking out.

Now that thats cleared up, I cant wait to take advantage of the gorgeous weather :)

St pattys day

Here are some pics from St. Pattys day!

Saturday Chris, Kelli, and I headed into Seattle to watch the parade. We scored amazing bar seats at YardHouse along the parade route, so we stopped in for a quick drink. Once the parade started, chris styaed to hold our seats while Kelli and I went out to watch. Since you cant have bring your drinks outside, we only watched for a few minutes before deciding to just watch from the window at the bar

Once the parade was over, we headed to Kelly's pub for lunch and Irish car bombs... duh

Afterwards, we headed to the Seattle Sounders game. I honestly had never really thought much about major league soccer, but it is HUGE here. The games are surprisingly a TON of fun!

We ended the night at Doyles Public House, not to far from out apt.  All in all... it was a sucessful St. Pattys day!!!

Wassell's in Washington and the History of Flight Museum

Saturday afternoon my family arrived!!! :) Chris and I were so excited to have them in town for a few days.  Once we dropped their bags off, we headed to Asado for a nice steak dinner and wine!!

Sunday- My parents explored Tacoma a bit while my sister, Chris, I hit the slopes. Once we got back, we grilled some hamburgers and once again drank more wine!

Monday- We started our day with some Legendary Doughnuts, seriously the best doughnuts ever! Then we headed into Seattle for what we Wassell women do best- shop! Afterwards, we headed to Matador for dinner and margarita.

Tuesday we headed to the Museum of Flight! It was one of the most interesting museum I have ever been to! After spending hours in the museum, we headed to the Pacific Grill for dinner. It was the perfect meal to cap off a perfect visit!
