Charity Miles

While browsing through Pintrest yesterday, I stumbled upon this amazing website...

Charity Miles

ANYONE who walks, runs, or bikes needs to download this app ASAP.

Basically, for every mile you walk/run,  a corporate sponsor will donate .25 cents and for every mile biked, they will donate .10 cents to a charity of your choice. I just took Chester for a walk around the park, only 1.3 miles but I was able to feed 3 hungry people!!! If you're planning on a run/walk/bike ride, why not give back while doing so!

Every little bit helps! Please download this app before your next workout and help someone in need!

Love yall. xo.

Pikes Place

Yesterday we went into Seattle to visit the famous Pikes Place Fish Market! While we didn't see any fish throwing, we did have some amazing seafood and fresh produce. The whole market is so much larger than I imagined. After snacking our way through we walked about a mile to find this doner kabob shop. When we were in Germany visiting the Stramara's, we became addicted to this Turkish masterpiece. Ever since we have been trying to find somewhere in the states that could even come close. FINALLY we found it. While nothing could beat the ones we had in Germany, this one came pretty close.

Hotty Toddy

Hey blog lovers. Boy do we have so much to fill yall in on since we got to Tacoma! But before we get to all that, I want to share some photos from our weekend in Oxford for the Olemiss Texas game.

Chris and I got in town Friday afternoon and went straight to the Burgundy Room. We spent the afternoon enjoying some beers, appetizers, and good conversation. Jeffery's best friend was so nice and let us stay at his family's cabin just 10 minutes from the square, so we spent the evening there catching up and saving our energy for Saturday.

Hiring someone to set up the tent was definitely the way to go. Saturday morning Chris and Jeffery went early to find our tent among the sea of red and blue tents in the Grove. It took them about an hour to spot it, but the table, chairs, and cooler already being set up made everything so much easier.  A tent caddy corner to us had a large TV so we were able to keep up with all the great games that day. And while the Rebels may not have won the game, it was definitely a game for the record books with the number of people in the Grove.

so many tents

Sunday morning we headed to the Square to do some shopping before heading to brunch at Ravine.

We couldn't have asked for a better weekend before our big move to Tacoma. It was so amazing to spend time with my bests!

Be sure you follow the blog to keep up with all the exciting news from Tacoma :)

Cross country road trip!!

After 4 long days in the car, we finally made it to Tacoma!!!!! The car rides were miserable but I'm already loving this city! I can't wait to start exploring.

There are some key things I don't think I can ever travel without again...
1. Walkie talkies. Chris and I had to each drive a car so it was so nice to be able to talk and play car games like we were side by side
2. Sirius xm. The comedy and cosmo channel entertained me the whole way!
3. A car with good gas mileage. I was getting 42 mpg during some stretches
4. Snacks. There was nothing worse the getting hungry in the middle of no where Wyoming.

In cheyenne we stopped at The only hot spot there... Shadows brewing co.... I think the whole town was there. I was looking forward to some gorgeous Rocky mountain views but there was so much smoke through Colorado, Wyoming, utah, Idaho, Oregon, and even part washington. The news had said the air quality though all these states was the same as Beijing!!!

I'm having to blog from my phone so I apologize none of these photos are in any order or with captions but here are some from along the way! The ones of the water are obviously from Tacoma!

Lake time

Yesterday we packed up all the cars and decided we would head to the lake house for some r&r before our long 3 day drive to Tacoma. Today we are lucky to get a late start! We are heading to Oklahoma city (about 6 hours) to see chris's cousins and possibly push onto Wichita (2 hours from there).

Here are some pictures from the cabin!
Please pray we have safe travels. I'll do my best to keep everyone updated.

Love y'all. Xo
