We decided to celebrate thanksgiving on Wednesday and spend Thursday on the slopes. With so many slopes close by, we decided on Crystal Mountain, just a short hour and a half drive. Chris and Tom were pros getting down the mountain, and while I managed to stay in one piece, a few more lessons are still in order for me!

Thanksgiving feast

This was my first year cooking thanksgiving dinner! I was so thankful everything turned out edible and pretty delicious. Instead of a turkey, we had a turducken... Yes a turkey stuffed with chicken, stuffed with duck... And it was amazing! Since we weren't able to spend the holiday with family, we had a few friends over to share the feast with

November Birchbox

I want to thank my gal, Sydni, for letting all her bloggers know about birchbox. It took a few weeks before I was off the wait list and able to start receiving packages. Unfortunately, that was right about the time we moved. Luckily, they held my place in line and I just received my first box!!!

While drinking my morning coffee and watching the Today Show, the Winklevoss twins were on to talk about a new website they had invested in- hukkster.com. 

The concept behind the website, is you add products you love/want, and they send you an email only when those certain products go on sale. Instead of flooding your inbox with similar items you may want, or other deals from the seller, they only email regarding the items you have hukked. 

I had to give it a try, and it super easy to use! 

Visit the website to sign up and create your account

 Once you have created account, click on get button. You easily drag and add hukk it to your bookmarks.

Visit your favorite websites. When you see something you love simply just click the hukk it bookmark button.

Pumpkin and Prayer

Today, our good friend Adam Moore is deploying to Afghanistan for 9 months. Before heading to post, we made sure he had good hearty breakfast.

I found this recipe for pumpkin pancakes on pintrest, of course, courtesy of annie-eats.com  Anyone who knows my dad, knows that we are never short on delicious pancake recipes. He's by far the best pancake maker, but this recipe goes right up there with some of his best.
