Chris's Portland B-day

Last weekend we headed to Portland for Chris's birthday! We had heard really good things about the city, so we were excited to see what all it had to offer. The food we found to be AMAZING and the people as strange as ever... people seem to try very hard to be that unusual. but all in all it was a very successful trip

Chester was happy he got to come along

Friday night we went to Le Pigeon for dinner. On Tuesday when I went to make the reservation, the only time they had left was at 9:45. I am so glad we waited because it was by far the most amazing meal we have had in a long time.

Before heading out to dinner at Le Pigeon
The restaurant consists of only 3 communal tables that all viewed the open kitchen.

We opted for the Chef's 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings and it did not disappoint. 1st course- mussels vinaigrette with horseradish panna cotta, green strawberries, and chilies. 2nd course- chicken "gnocchi" in a morel cream sauce with asparagus and licorice vinaigrette 3rd course- Sea bass over pesto noodles 4th course- Skirt steak with crab and potato gratin with a goat cheese shrimp butter vinaigrette 5th course- Foie Gras Profiteroles in a carmel sauce with sea salt
If anyone is ever in Portland, i strongly recommend making a reservation and checking this place out!

Saturday sunrise
Before heading to the Mt. Hood, we had to hit up VooDoo Doughnuts

They were all so delicious!
We spent the day boarding at Meadows at Mt. Hood. I really liked the runs on this mountain, I just wish the weather had been a little better- we had to deal with some strong winds and ice!
When we got back we relaxed while watching the final 4 games
Chris and Chester talking about what all was going on outside
Saturday night we headed to Bamboo Sushi for dinner then out for a few drinks before cabbing it back!

It was such a fun weekend and I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband!
