Friday night in ATL

Friday night I headed back up to see Whitney!! My girlfriend Courtney Cooper was having some showers this weekend for her upcoming nuptials not too far from.  We went to STG Trattoria (http://www.stgtrattoria.com/) for dinner! Super delicious with an amazing wine cellar!

Afterwards we headed to Lost Dog.  This my my first time at this bar, and I'm sad I hadn't been there sooner. It was so fun and packed full of fun games to play like corn hole, ping-pong and such.

It was such a great night!

Tomorrow I'll be blogging about all Court's showers and sharing pictures. They were all so beautifully done and fun it deserves its own blog post!

Love yall. xo.

Bragging on the Hubs

I wanted to take this opportunity to brag on my hubby! Yesterday, I was a little stressed out about how messy our apartment had gotten. I had planned on spending all last night getting it in tip top shape since Chris was going to be flying out to Houston for Josh's bachelor party in Galveston that night and I would be home alone. He had told me tried to pick up a few things before heading to the airport but really didnt have time to do much, saying he was sorry i had to clean it alone. Well when I got home to my surprise the entire apartment was spotless!!! Such a wonderful surprise :) So thankful for such a amazing husband. I Love you Bubby!!!  Hope yall have an amazing time in Galveston. I miss you :)

Generals Reception

As a part of the Captain Career Course Chris is in currently, we had to go to a reception at the General's home last night. We had to get all dressed up for this hour long reception. We shook the General and his wifes hand, stood in the corner of a crowded/hot room while we sipped on some wine/beer, listened as the general spoke for 5 minutes, then we were kindly ushered out so the next group could come.  Now I dont mind getting all dressed up, but to go through all that effort for just to shake a hand... a little ridiculous if you ask me!

Afterward everyone in Chris's class went to the loft for dinner. We were a little late getting there because we decided to head home first and change into something more comfortable! The loft our favorite restaurant in Columbus! In the upstairs bar they had a band playing so after dinner we headed up there to listen for a bit! If anyone will ever be in the Columbus I strongly recommend checking the loft out - http://downstairsattheloft.com/

Working out Wednesday!

Well last week I really needed this segment to get me back on track, and this week is no different! I made it to the gym only 3 times last week, and while I guess that is better then not making it all, I need to step it up! I'll be on the beach with the girls in 2 weeks, so its time to get serious! I was impressed that Chris and I actually woke up early on Saturday to get in a workout before heading to Atlanta, but since then i've been MIA. So this week I need some motivation!!!
hopefully one day...

2 weeks till girls vacay in Destin!

This weekend I will be going back to Atlanta for Courtney Cooper's wedding showers, so I plan on attending a pure barre class with whitney saturday morning -  but until then, time to get my head back in the game and back into the gym!

Love yall. xo.

Another Atlanta Weekend!

Chris and I spent another fun weekend in Atlanta! We woke up early Saturday, got a quick workout in before heading to the A. We were meeting Courtney and Marcus up there and some of their friends from home. The plan was the float the river, but unfortunately mother nature was not cooperating. So what does one do when in Atl and plans fall through... Go to Tin Lizzys of course!

Tin Lizzys is by far one of my favorite spots in buckhead. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is super fun. There are TV's all over so we were able to keep up on all the latest olympic action and our waitress was more then content with us just enjoying a few beers and ritas while we chatted!

After leaving Tin Lizzys we went back to the hotel and got ready real fast. We went to Double Tree where Court and Marcus were staying and played Kings until it was time for the taxi to come pick us up for our dinner reservations.

We went to Two Urban Licks for dinner, and it was AMAZING!!!

The kitchen is located in the middle of the restautant so you could watch all the action as they prepared your meal!

We started with the Salmon Chips: Short smoked salmon, chipotle cream cheese, capers, red onions and the Empanadas: Brisket, garlic aioli, pico de gallo, feta. Both were seriously amazing. We were so full from just those we decided to split the Bistro Steak for out entree: Grilled, herb whipped potatoes, local beans, corn, shitake mushrooms, chimichurri.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Atlanta area.

After a day full of eating and drinking we were too full for a night out on the town!

Sunday morning Chris was so sweet and went to get our favorite bagels from Goldberg (http://www.goldbergbagel.com/). By far the best the everything bagel with eggs, cheese and bacon around!

I am ashamed I didnt take any pics :( I promise next weekend I'll take plenty as I head back up to Atlanta for Courtney Cooper's showers and to spend some girl time with Whit before the big move!
